What is the recommended image size for a banner?

Upload sharp originals; Homage resizes for each screen. These widths are starting points, not strict limits.

Full-width banners

• Desktop: 1600–2400 px wide (72 dpi). Height depends on your layout and text.
• Mobile-only banner: 640–800 px wide. Can go down to 320 px, but slightly larger files look sharper when scaled down.

Images inside columns

For a banner inside a multi-column section, aim for 1.5–2× the width it displays at. Example: half of a ~1600 px page ≈ 800 px image width.

Keep files lean

Large uncompressed files slow the store. Compress before upload — tinypng.com is a simple free option. Set a focal point on busy photos so crops stay centered on mobile.
