Width settings
Set how wide a section's content can stretch on large screens.
Last updated About 4 hours ago
The Width settings group controls the maximum width of a section's inner content. Most sections include it near the bottom of the sidebar.
Match the rest of your store
Content width defaults to Use theme setting, which pulls from Content width under Theme settings > Layout. Set that once for the baseline — see the Layout article.
Make one section full bleed
Set Content width to No max when you want edge-to-edge content: a wide slideshow, a full-width image, or a hero that spans the entire browser.
Narrow a reading section
Pick a fixed width — 768px through 1600px — when text-heavy content feels too stretched on ultra-wide monitors. Rich text and FAQ sections often look better around 1024px or 1240px.
Other settings
Width only affects horizontal space, not padding above and below — see Padding settings. Visibility and layout are separate too — Visibility settings and Layout settings.
