Slideshow control settings
Tune autoplay, speed, arrows, and pagination when a section's layout is set to slideshow.
Last updated About 4 hours ago
The Slideshow settings group shows up whenever Desktop layout or Mobile layout is set to Slideshow — in Featured collection, Multicolumn, Collection list, and other grid-capable sections. The dedicated Slideshow section has these same controls plus a few extras (animation style, slide height).
Turn on autoplay
- Set the section's layout to Slideshow on the device you want.
- Under Slideshow settings, enable Autoplay slideshow.
- Set Autoplay delay — how long each slide stays visible (0–10 seconds).
Leave autoplay off if you prefer visitors swipe at their own pace.
Adjust transition speed
Animation speed controls how fast slides move when someone clicks an arrow or when autoplay advances (0.1–5 seconds). Around 0.8s is a good default; go faster for snappy product rows, slower for large hero slides.
Show arrows and dots
- Show navigation — previous/next arrows.
- Show pagination — position indicators below the slider.
- Pagination style — Dynamic (adaptive dots) or Fraction (e.g.
2 / 5).
Keeping both navigation and pagination on helps visitors orient themselves in longer carousels.
Loop back to the start
Enable Loop slides when you want the carousel to restart after the last item instead of stopping.
Other settings
On the Slideshow section itself you'll also find Animation style (slide vs fade) and Section height options — see Section height. Product card slideshows under Theme settings > Product cards have their own autoplay and arrow settings when Image style is Slideshow.
