Section height

Make a section fill the screen or size itself to its content.

Section height appears on media-heavy sections — Banner, Slideshow, Image, Video, Multicolumn, and Rich text. It controls how tall the section gets relative to the browser window.

Let content decide the height

Section height on Default sizes the section from its content and aspect ratio settings. A banner with a wide image and short headline stays compact; a slideshow with a tall aspect ratio grows with it.

Fill most of the screen

  1. Set Section height to Fixed.
  2. Adjust Height — a percentage of the viewport, from 25% to 100% in 25% steps.
  3. On sections that support it, set a separate Height (mobile) if phones need a shorter crop.

At 100%, the section fills the visible window. On the Slideshow section, that measurement accounts for your header height so the slide doesn't hide under the navigation.

Pair with aspect ratio

On Default, Aspect ratio (and Aspect ratio (mobile) where available) shapes how images and video sit inside the section. Switch to Fixed when you want a consistent viewport-filling hero regardless of the uploaded image proportions.

Other settings

Fixed height overrides block aspect ratios inside the section — useful for uniform hero slides, but check that text and buttons still fit on small screens. Padding and width are separate — see Padding settings and Width settings.
