Filter group block

Custom tag filters in the blog listing sidebar.

Filter group blocks only work in the Blog content section when Enable filters is on. They are not used on collection pages — collection filtering comes from Search & Discovery via Storefront filtering.

Create a filter group

  1. Open the Blog template and select Blog content.
  2. Turn on Enable filters.
  3. Add a Filter group block.
  4. Set Title — the group heading in the sidebar (e.g. "Topics").
  5. Enter Tags as a comma-separated list — each tag becomes a clickable filter link.

Open or collapsed by default

Show open by default — when on, the group's tags are visible immediately; when off, visitors expand the group first.

Add multiple Filter group blocks for different tag categories.

Other settings

Visibility settings. Tag filters narrow the post grid client-side — posts must actually carry those tags in Shopify admin.
