Merchandise products within your blog posts automatically

Automatically display the products linked in the blog post content using the Linked products block of the Blog post section.

✅ Steps

  1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Customize.

  2. In the theme editor, open your Blog post template.

  3. In the Blog post section, scroll down to the Blocks area.

  4. Click Add block and choose Linked products.

  5. Click Save to apply your changes.

  6. Grab the URL of the product you want to feature in the blog post either via the Shopify admin or by visiting the product via your site.

  7. In your Shopify admin, go to Content → Blog posts and find the blog post you want to edit.

  8. Insert the product link from Step 5 anywhere in the blog content. For best results, make sure the URL does not contain any URL parameters that start with a “?” question sign, such as “?variant=123456”.

  9. Click Save to apply your changes.

  10. Your blog post should now contain a hoverable product link and a product card in the sidebar. Note: you can link multiple products in the same blog post, and the linked products block is not required to include the hoverable link in the content.

Adding blocks to the sidebar

The Sidebar on article pages is controlled directly through the Blog post section inside the theme editor. Adding blocks here allows you to feature additional content — such as banners, related articles, or products — alongside your main post.

✅ Steps

  1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Customize.

  2. In the theme editor, open your Blog post template.

  3. In the Blog post section, scroll down to the Blocks area.

  4. Click Add block and choose from the available options — for example:

    • Banner – display a promotional or announcement image.

    • Product – showcase related or featured items.

    • Article – link to other posts or editorial content.

    • Custom HTML – embed custom content such as a form or script.

  5. Adjust each block’s settings (e.g., image, link, title, or layout) as needed.

  6. Click Save to apply your changes.

Once added, the blocks will automatically appear in the sidebar on your blog or article pages.

💡 Tip: Use a mix of banners, product links, and article teasers to create a sidebar that drives engagement without overwhelming the reader.

📝 Note: Sidebar content is controlled per Blog post section, so you can customize layouts for different templates or editorial needs.
