The Custom liquid section is a single code field on any template. Use it when a Shopify app asks you to paste a Liquid snippet, or when you need dynamic output that no built-in section provides.
Add your code
Paste Liquid into Custom liquid. The code runs in the context of the current page — so product, collection, and article objects are available on their respective templates.
📝 Note: Invalid Liquid can break the page preview. Test on a duplicate theme before publishing.
When to use Custom code instead
If you only need CSS or JavaScript — not Liquid output — the Custom code section keeps styles and scripts in separate blocks.
Other settings
Visibility — hide the section on mobile or desktop. There are no padding, width, or color scheme options in this section.
