Aspect ratio settings

Many sections and blocks include Aspect ratio and Mobile aspect ratio fields. They appear when section height is Default (not fixed viewport height).

Pick a global crop

Aspect ratio options:

• Adapt to image (default) — uses the file's natural proportions.
• Landscape, portrait, square, widescreen, ultrawide — fixed crops.

Square or landscape keeps product and editorial grids even. Portrait suits lookbook layouts.

Use a different mobile crop

Set Mobile aspect ratio when phones need a taller or squarer frame than desktop. Leave on Adapt to image to inherit the desktop ratio.

Common pattern: landscape on desktop, square on mobile.

Where this group shows up

• Section level — Multicolumn, Slideshow, Hero, Video, Collection list, and more.
• Block level — image and video blocks inside those sections.
• Card overrides — Card settings groups with Use theme setting as the first option.

Card-type defaults live under Theme settings — Product cards, Collection cards, Article cards.
