Recently viewed products
Show visitors the products they've already looked at — an easy way back to things they were considering.
Last updated About 2 hours ago
Add the Recently viewed products section anywhere you like — product pages (below the product information) and the cart page are the classic spots. The section fills itself: as visitors browse, it remembers the products they've viewed and shows them, newest first. It stays hidden until there's something to show.
Set the layout
- Desktop layout and Mobile layout — a Slider visitors can swipe through, or a Grid.
- Desktop column count and Mobile column count — how many products per row.
- Number of items — how many products to show at most. Leave it at 0 to show all (up to 50).
The slider has the usual Slideshow settings — autoplay, looping, arrows, pagination. See Slideshow control settings.
How long products are remembered
That's a store-wide setting: Theme settings > Recently viewed > Expiration. Products viewed longer ago than this many days (30 by default) drop off the list. The list is stored in the visitor's browser, so it's per-device and survives between visits.
Other settings
Header settings — an optional heading above the products ("Recently viewed", "Still thinking about these?"). Card settings — override the product card image ratios for this section. Plus the shared Padding / Visibility / Content width settings — see Padding settings, Visibility settings, and Width settings.
📝 Note: Visitors who are browsing for the first time (or who cleared their browser data) simply won't see the section — so don't rely on it as the only product discovery on a page.
